About 23Lab

One place for everything tekno. 23Lab is a home for tekno culture: the parties, the rigs, the flyers, the crews and the stories behind them. Inspired by the music and by the free party spirit, we collect what the scene creates so it can be found, shared and remembered.

Not an organisation. No membership, no leaders, no party line — everyone who loves the sound is part of it. No politics, no brand, no business: no ads, no tickets, no selling of your data. We document the culture; we don’t own it.

Free party is not a crime. A free party is people, a sound system and a place coming together — no ticket, no VIP, no guest list. It is how we express ourselves: through bass, through building rigs by hand, through dancing until sunrise. It is the convoy rolling out at night — trucks loaded with speakers, generators and crews, following the infoline to a field nobody knew about the day before. It is not a protest and not a product. It is a way of life.

Why 23. Since the early free party days the number 23 has been the scene’s sign — painted on trucks and speaker stacks, printed on flyers, carried from one teknival to the next. It stands for the tribe more than any name does. That is where 23Lab comes from.

Know a party, a rig or a flyer that’s missing? Send it — the archive grows only because the scene shares it. One tribe, one sound.
